Lynx Energy ULC (Lynx) is a privately owned natural gas producer that owns and operates coal bed methane (CBM) and shallow gas in the Central Alberta corridor.  Since its inception in Feb 2016, Lynx has focused on underused natural gas properties in Alberta.  

As we look towards a new energy future, natural gas is one of the most affordable, reliable and abundant energy sources.

Community

At all times, Lynx Energy ULC (Lynx) aims to listen, understand and participate in the communities and small towns wherein we produce natural gas. Our employees both live and work within these communities and Lynx is committed to maintaining a safe work environment and a respectful relationship with our neighbours. 

Lynx works closely with the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) to support effective operations and complying with regulations.  Lynx strives with our actions day-by-day towards balancing safe operations and maintaining responsible and strategic development of our natural gas resources.

Lynx Energy 1st Annual Veterans Food & Foster Care Store Drive:

A HUGE Thank you to all of you who made our first Annual Veterans Food Drive and Foster Care Store Drive a success!!

Two pickup loads were delivered to the Foster Care Store and 1,000 pounds of food went to The Veteran’s Food Bank of Calgary and over $1,100 of food, toiletries, clothing went to the Veteran’s Association.

ESTMA:

The Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) legislation was enacted by the Canadian government on December 16, 2014 and was brought into force on June 1, 2015. The Act requires companies in the business of commercial development of crude oil, natural gas and minerals, such as Lynx Energy, to publicly disclose, on an annual basis, specific payments made to all governments in Canada and abroad.

The ESTMA legislation is administered by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), and additional information on ESTMA can be found on NRCan’s website (nrcan.gc.ca).
